Positive Reflections Gear was first thought of in January 2008, while Fitness Competitor and Athlete, Simòne Sziksai was training in front of the mirror. “I was looking in the mirror at a motivational saying that was written on the front of my shirt and thought to myself, wouldn’t it be nice if I could read that while I was working out,” Simòne explains. In April 2008, Simòne had Positive Reflections Gear, Ltd. Incorporated in Pennsylvania and has since moved the company to North Carolina where she is currently residing. Positive Reflections Gear, LLC became official in November 2009, and launched www.positivereflectionsgear.com on February 9, 2010.
“It was a very long process to get the business up and running. I wanted to ensure that we were compliant with all of the government regulations, that we chose the best apparel for our positive, motivational line and that we had a solid foundation for future growth,” Simòne stated. She also wanted to thank her team for sticking by her side during the past two years, “I want to thank my mother for her creative graphic designs, my father for coming up with the name, Positive Reflections [Gear], my brother for his finance expertise and my boyfriend for being my rock, believing in me and helping me to believe in myself, for helping me with everything from counting shirts to marketing the products."
